Muscat, A Cypriot delegation, including George
Michaelides, Commissioner of Electronic Communications and Postal
Regulation and Antonis Antoniades, Head of Digital Security Authority
of Cyprus visited the Information Technology Authority (ITA) today to
exchange expertise and familiarize with the Sultanate’s experience in
cybersecurity.
The delegation met with Dr. Salim bin Sultan al-Ruzaiqi, CEO of
Information Technology Authority (ITA).
The delegation listened to three presentations that began with a
presentation by Badr bin Ali al-Salehi, Director General of Oman
National CERT during which he defined the work of the Authority and
Oman Digital Strategy. The delegation was viewed a presentation on
the role of the Oman National CERT in the field of institutional
organization, technical standards and legal legislation related to
cybersecurity.
The delegation also learned about the services of the Arab
Regional Cybersecurity Center hosted by the Sultanate, represented
by the ITA.
