Muscat, The Cultural Club will organize this
Tuesday a seminar on “Local Culture and University Curricula, at
Muscat University in Al Ghubra.
The seminar aims to highlight the importance of local culture in
academic curricula, which is an important part of the culture of
peoples, tool of intergenerational communication, immortalizing the
memory of the homeland, defining its identity, ascribing its glory and
forming the awareness of its members.
The seminar will discuss various aspects of the study, including:
Identifying the characteristics of local culture and its manifestations in
university curricula, highlighting the means of teaching local culture in
the academic curricula, and the contribution of higher education
institutions in Oman in spreading local culture in university curricula.
The seminar will be attended by Prof. Yousra al Mazoughi, Vice
Chancellor of Muscat University, Dr. Amer al Hajri, Head of Business
Administration at the Arab Open University in the Sultanate, Dr. Bader
bin Salem al Qutaiti and Assistant Professor at the College of
Education in A’Rustaq. The seminar will be moderated by Al Ghalia bint
Salem al Mughairiya.
