The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana is collating information on Ghanaians and legal permanent residents who are stranded abroad as a result of the closure of international borders in containment phase of the covid-19 pandemic.
To this end, a statement issued by Ghana’s high commission called on eligible nationals who are prepared to pay for their cost of travel to Ghana to submit their details, as specified below, to Ghana’s Embassy in Lebanon no later than Friday, May 22, 2020.
The specified details include the national’s name, copy of bio data page of passport, current location, telephone number, whatsapp number, and e-mail address.
The rest of the required information are date of travel from Ghana, original date of expected return to Ghana, copy of return ticket, reason for inability to return to Ghana, and confirmation of ability to pay for arranged air travel.
The statement added that government personnel on official trips, and students on Ghana government scholarships who have completed their course of study, were also expected to provide the relevant information as indicated.
