Muscat, Many clients in the Sultanate hailed Omani online purchase services based on measures undertaken by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to encourage initiatives that contributed to the alleviation of impacts of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic on business.

     They described these services as innovative and efficient, and reaffirmed that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry provides further advantages for the purchase of goods available in the local market.

     The Ministry of Commerce and Industry stressed that consumers should cross-check the firms with which they deal before purchasing via the internet from electronic platforms or transferring cash abroad.

     Clients should confirm that the companies and establishments offering goods online own commercial registers in the Sultanate by logging onto the Ministry’s investment website (www.investeasy.om).

     The Ministry encourages business persons working from home, owners of small and medium enterprises and owners of bigger companies to promote their services using modern marketing techniques, as this type of publicity should fall within the discretions offered by their licensed businesses and commercial registers.

      The Ministry underscored the positive effect of electronic services on commercial exchange since it enables direct import and activates internal and external trade.
