Muscat, - Chairmen of the GCC Supreme and Cassation Courts held their fifth periodic meeting at the Supreme Court here today.
The meeting reviewed ideas and visions put forward to activate the joint cooperation between the Supreme Courts and the Courts of Cassation. It also followed up implementation of the operational plan for the strategic plan of the Supreme and Cassation Courts, the content of the unified system of GCC Supreme and Cassation as these countries are working to bring their laws and regulations closer together in various fields to achieve their unification.
A working paper was presented in the meeting in addition to a proposal by the Sultanate's Supreme Court on the draft rules of procedure for meetings of chairmen of the GCC Supreme and Cassation Courts.
These GCC periodic meetings have effective impact on the exchange of expertise and benefit from the experiences in various fields and also contribute to the activation of joint agreements between the GCC countries to achieve the desired goal.
