Muscat, The National Leadership Programme for Middle/Senior Management (Etimad) commenced the assessment stage of the nominated applicants to be shortlisted to join the Programme; as the Programme's candidates will have to pass a number of tests and an interview before joining the first batch of the Programme, which will include 500 participants from major private sector companies operating in various sectors.

More than 350 candidates participated in the evaluation center tests in Muscat and Salalah; as the candidates underwent a number of tests that evaluated their general and thinking capacities and the candidates' ability to deal with information, data and written patterns; in addition to their personal skills, teamwork, task management, English proficiency, communication and information receipt capacity, and a number of management skills.

The evaluation stage will continue for the next few weeks with the rest of the Programme's candidates; as there will be another evaluation center in the Governorate of Muscat.

"Etimad" Programme aims to train and qualify 10,000 Omanis working in the private sector, along with improving the level of their leadership and supervisory skills, through a specialized program designed in partnership with international and local institutions and centers with extensive relevant expertise.

"Etimad" Programme incorporates the best training practices adopted through the Programme's training partners as Takatuf � the training partner- provides a unique training experience through leadership training strategies accredited by the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL).

The Ministry of Manpower supervises the implementation of Etimad; with a highly qualified team, while the Implementation Support and Follow-up Unit provides support and follows up with its progress.
