Posted on July 13, 2018

ALGIERS, Algeria’s Minister of Tourism and Craft Industry, Abdelkader Benmessaoud, and the Ambassador of Oman in Algiers, Naser bin Saif bin Salim Al-Hosni, have reviewed the state of the bilateral relations and ways to develop co-operation in the tourism and craft sectors.

At their meeting here Wednesday, they agreed to draw up a memorandum of understanding for bilateral co-operation in these sectors. The ambassador welcomed the level of privileged relations between the two countries as well as the big potential Algeria for enhanced bilateral co-operation.

He expressed the willingness of Oman to broaden and strengthen the partnership and co-operation fields to develop bilateral relations in tourism and craft industry, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

The two sides examined ways and prospects to develop bilateral relations in tourism and agreed to work together to draw up a memorandum of understanding in this regard and to seize the opportunity of the next meeting of the Algeria-Oman Joint Committee to relaunch the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in the field of craft industry.

The minister stressed Algeria’s willingness to establish bridges of co-operation between tourism operators from both countries and to encourage tourism exchanges by participating in tourism events and organizing trips for operators and players as well as exchanging expertise in tourism.
