Muscat, Commodore Tarik Issa Al Raisi, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received at the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) today Vice Admiral Brad Cooper, Commander of the United States (US) Naval Forces Central Command.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on several matters of common interest.

The meeting was attended by Commodore Jasim Mohammed Al Balushi, RNO Director of Operations and Plans, Commodore Adil Hamoud Al Busaidi, Head of the MSC and the military attaché of the US embassy in Muscat.

Further, the guest and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the MSC within its national duties, as it coordinates with relevant authorities in ensuring the safety of the maritime environment. They also toured the centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies.
