Above 2200 Exemptions Permits for GCC Countries

Muscat, Eng. Saud bin Said al- Jabri, Acting Head of Industrial Follow up and Surveillance at the Directorate General of Industry in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the number of industrial transactions cleared through “Bayan” system for the first six months of 2018 amounted to 2.211 permits for the GCC countries to obtain exemption from imports of industrial establishments.

He added that the number of applications for exemption from customs during the same period reached (277) for imports of equipment, spare parts and primary raw materials. The applications for exemption from income tax were 13, in addition to 51 applications for industrial lands during the same period of 2018.
