A quadripartite meeting in Baghdad stresses the need to support the development road project


The Coordination Committee of the four parties (Iraq, Turkey, the Emirates and Qatar) held its second meeting at the headquarters of the Iraqi General Railway Company, and stressed the need to support the development road project.

The media office of the Ministry of Transport stated in a statement: “The Coordination Committee of the four parties (Iraq, Turkey, the Emirates and Qatar) held its second meeting at the headquarters of the Iraqi General Railway Company, in the presence of the Director General of Railways Younis Al-Kaabi, the Director General of the Iraqi Ports Company Farhan Al-Fartousi, and the Director General of International Relations at the Turkish Ministry of Transport and the accompanying delegation, in addition to the participation of the Qatari and Emirati sides via the Zoom application, to review the latest developments and follow up on the development road project, in preparation for the upcoming ministerial meeting in the Turkish capital, Ankara. ”

It added, “The meeting was attended,
in addition to the representatives of the Quadripartite Bloc, by a representative of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Turkish Ambassador in Baghdad,” noting that “the Coordination Committee agreed during the meeting on the necessity of supporting the Development Road Project with all the capabilities available to these countries and the absolute support of the Iraqi state to complete this project. The committee also discussed technical and diplomatic issues and how to move forward in implementing the memorandum.
